Gendered phenomenon because women might be encouraged to fulfill the demand (assumed will stay connected with the family ) The entry of women into the labor force in the global north, labor force in the global north, resulting in reduced ability to attend to children and elderly. A lack of family-friendly policies and facilities makes the demand for at home childcare higher. A shortage of public services in global north countries. Increasingly longevity and side of elderly population in developed countries.
