Marimarebo, brother of yanyonbori, found out secret and told other men. "you can play the instruments, but you have to play them in the house and not in the forest" Women gained ascendancy over men, this angered marimarebo. Men took trumpets and forced women into dwelling house. Women were once dominant and could be dominant again; had to be overthrown so only status is inferior. In mundurucu culture, people and animals are the way they are because of events that happened in the past. Division of labor denotes higher status (manhood and hunting linked)
