Dialectical materialism - constant conflict between social classes over the production of material wealth transforms society (marx) Marx applies hegel"s process to mode of production. The history of all hitherto existing society is the history of class struggle. Proletariat - workers who own only the labor power they possess. Capitalist - factory owners who get power from controlling the mode of production. Conflict is good to marx more conflict means the faster society approaches utopia. Reward nobles with land they could use (not own, rent) Clash between owners and poor would lead to socialism. Ussr is what marx would consider socialism. Bosses would be workers themselves rise from lower class.
