Arameans and phoenicia both are moving tons of goods out. Canaanites: polytheistic-shared same gods with phoenicians. Bronze age phoenicia 3000-1200bce: how did they travel-used water-resistant trees to make oars and boats, location-coast of mediterranean, foreign relations-most people wanted to be their allies bc of all their goods, very few enemies, culture-polytheistic. Made them different than other communities: had an actively understanding of the afterlife.
