Brain is made of neurons, 86 billion neurons. Neuron is made of cell body, axon, and dendrites. > fun fact = human cns has 100,000 miles of dendrites. Axon is covered in a myelin sheath, myelin is made of glial cells. > electrical potentials can jump between gaps in myelin sheath, which is a faster way of transferring the signal. Multiple sclerosis = body attacks myelin sheath as if it were an invader. In brain, white = mostly axons, gray = cell bodies and dendrites. Band connecting 2 hemispheres of brain= corpus collosum. Eg. i tap your shoulder, you push a button as soon as you feel it.
