Infants become uncomfortable after being briefly separated from their caregivers. The emotional connection between the caregivers and the infant. Mental representation - infant develops interpretations of their caregivers. Internal working models/working model of an attachment infants tend to develop an interpretation of themselves. Interpretation of themselves being worthy of love and affection. Interpretation of caregivers being able to provide what they need.
