Strategies: intercourse, in vitro, surrogate, artificial insemination. Once a month, ovum is released, moves through fallopian tube to uterus where fertilization may occur. Germinal period: creation of zygote, cell division, attachment to uterus, mitosis. Embryonic stage: 3 weeks following implantation: amniotic sac: surrounds embryo and fills with clear fluid, placenta: organ the provides nourishment and oxygen. Second month: 1 inch long, veins, heart divides into left and right.
