Epigenetic marks: chemicals that sit on top of genes and instruct them to turn on. Imprinting: gene from mother or father is silenced or off: environmental factors. Strategies: intercourse, in vitro, surrogate, artificial insemination. Once a month, ovum is released, moves through fallopian tube to uterus where fertilization may occur.
