Allowed them to keep up with the buffalo. Patrilineal culture = everything flows through father"s line. Didn"t matter too much who your mother was. Matrilineal = women controlled lineage, only women can vote, own land. Consider themselves a sovereign nation now, have their own passport and currency. Cherokee were much more integrated and powerful until andrew jackson and the trail of tears. Percentage of natives in canada is much higher. There we some colonies that did not join the 13 colonies. The further north you go, the farmland gets worse, canada on east coast is not farmable, less settler colonials.
