I could certainly stay and earn my own living if i wanted to, but his son would go with him wherever he went. Can"t even stand up for herself, but there"s no law to allow her to keep her child. Mamma, mamma, don"t cry; write, mamma, writei"ll be good; don"t cry" . Giving her permission to abandon her freedom. Abandoning her child with an abusive man. Never gets the chance to see her son again. She should"ve never married him in the first place, married someone else or done what she wants. Son might develop similar qualities as mom.
