Blood veins have one way valves, the lymphatic system will return blood to heart. In the circulatory system, the lymphatic flow and many components of the immune system live. Balance of flows dictate the extra or intracellular fluidinterstitial fluid. Fluid will accumulate in lungs, the fluid settles in the bottom. Many sorts of swelling will cause this. Systemic edema will cause swelling of tissues, and lower extremities will have more difficulty to return fluid to heart. Connective tissues consist of cells surrounded by a matrix. Water, ions, proteins, nutrients, wastes, o2, co2, hormones. Red bone marrow: porous interior of bone where blood cells are produced. As you mature, the red bone marrow continues to exist but only in certain bones. Yellow bone marrow is a place for fat storage (yellow) Deep abdominal fat insulin resistance, diabetes, etc. Will create cells that are made from stem cells.
