Document Summary

There are a lot more cases of diels-alder reactions using different kinds of dienes and dienophiles. For now, you should focus on the cases in lecture notes and pes. It is absolutely a great thing to think about this or that as i have mentioned for weeks. However, at this time you cannot get the correct answers for all the possible cases. Please do not go beyond the simple systems we have discussed in lectures and pes. Below, i illustrated systems where you might not have answers. As i briefly mentioned in the class, these things can be solved and understood when you take advance classes. We can have different regioisomers, but always choose ro and ri should be located next to r group of dienophile as represented in the following reaction. For this reason, i have made up all the questions avoiding this regiochemical situation.
