When areas depleted, they moved on until they exhausted that area. Everyone participated, women more responsible for agriculture, men for hunting. Some tribes faired better than others, populations were stable except inter tribal rivalries and wars, Ended when the greatest technological discovery occurred, agriculture. Didn"t have to gather any more, they could grow. They also domesticated animals as food supply, vital component of agricultural innovation. Now they could produce food in a sufficient efficiency so some people didn"t have to produce food and could feed members for the tribe that were not employed in agriculture. In hunting and gathering communities each household provided for themselves. Took a leap forward with the invention of irrigation.
