Quinine prevents merozoite fr getting rid of heme. Ie malaria take it ahead of time before infected. Issue with malaria: can change its antigen. Why can"t plasmodium evolve as quickly as influenza. Has to adapt to two diff organisms (plasmodium) Constraints ability to evolve while influenza doesn"t have to worry about it. Breathing in worse smells of london but all didn"t get sick. Biggest believers of miasma recognized that sewer hunters were healthy.
