How it gets fr person to person bc it doesn"t rely on rat. Contributes to ab of plagues cases. Ground rodents; can infect but don"t kill/cause disease. Circulates in wild pop of rodents (not rats) Can be transferred fr one rodent to another (if they fight) or if its positive in soil. Not seen wild rodents humans but can happen. Issues arise when can jump fr wild to domesticated rodents.
