Psychology in the news: machine that deals with genetics and behavior, increasing number of studies of genetically identical twins, and who have been brought up in different environments. How similar are people when they are young, and when they are old. Brought up together, similar then or when they are older. Older identical twins living in different environments are more similar than when they are raised together. Identical twins in the same environment will do different things to try to differentiate themselves from the other twin. When they"re older, try to construct similar environments because they can be themselves; choose to be who they truly are. Environments aren"t randomly imposed, we selected them, and genetics leads us to them. Evolutionary effects on psychology: genetics and relationship to behavior. Many studies have looked at identical vs. fraternal twin (share about half the same genes) Because the genes are similar, any differences is from something else.
