Psychology in the news: lucid dreaming: controlling your dreams. Intellectual history shows an interesting debate, started off with psychoanalysis and froid. Really interested in the basic human drives: drives of aggression and sex, dark type of both. As we age, we create a superego, humans are bad, but socialization makes us able to harness these impulses. Human"s aren"t good or bad, depends on what happens to them. Born a blank slate that can be influenced to become various things. Humans are basically good, babies are so good. Society can make people bad: froid is a letter in this culture. Darwin, marx, froid are the most important.
