Asked 50 women about what make them desire all kinds of sex. Found 4 main categories: emotional bonding cues, visual/proximity cues. Seeing someone well dressed, confident, or powerful: explicit/erotic cues. Women w sex prblms have very few cues. Sex hormones: anndrogens (testosterone), estrogen (estradiol, estriol, etsrone), progesterone. Men: produced by testes & adrenal glands. Women: produced by ovaries & adrenal glands. Estrogen and prostegerone have lil effect on sex drive. Used to give e to sex offenders. Individuals level of t dosen t correlate w sex drive bc all men have more t than their body can use (depends on receptors) On remote island mans beard grew less. Estrogen & testosterone (peak mid cycle), progesterone (peaks after ovulation - prepares uterine lining) Normal range for w is 1. 3-6. 8 picograms; m produce 300-1000.
