Provision of warmth (friendly, degree of infused with affection vs shame, hostility or rejection) Degree to which a child"s behavior is regulated, monitored and corrected by the caregiver in order to ensure compliance with the caregiver"s vision of what their standard of rules are. Authoritative - high responsiveness and warmth and high /medium demandingness/control [ best type] Clear rules, not arbitrary, placed in logical way to ensure well-being, safety or family consistency - insist on them being followed.
