Aristotle"s polity is a form of government which mixes democracy and oligarchy. The idea is that the poor can hold a lower office, but they are then responsible to the oligarchy as well. , This is comparable to the persian regime in book one of the. Education, where men go to one of four buildings in free. This system is like a polity because in each building there are 12 rulers who are the most powerful serve to direct the other men in the building(this is the oligarchy). However, the men below still are able to rule themselves if they are deemed worthy of being one of the 12 rulers(they all have a chance to hold deliberative office). Aristotle explains the reason for cities is the intention for human beings to live well . The city provides basic needs such as property, safety, food, etc.
