Saw first hand of the propaganda machine in germany to shift public opinion. Tried to understand how it mobilizes public opinion. First serious study of mass media and political communication. A lot of work has developed since then. Most of that work is directed at studying and explaining effects of media on behaviors. Sender does not transmit directly to the receiver.
