Introduces the basic concepts of chemistry and examines them in terms of real-world examples. Missed exams: to develop critical thinking, logical thinking, and problem solving skills, to increase scientific literacy and communication, to develop a fundamental conceptual understanding and appreciation for the importance of chemical substances and processes in our daily lives. If a student misses an exam due to extenuating circumstances without an acceptable documented reason, he/she will be assigned zero for that exam.
