Document Summary

Mind and soul not body and brain. Believes that there are some truths about god that can be learned through human reasoning and then other truths only known through god disclosing them: these truths can not be in disagreement with each other. If these truths were left solely as matter of inquiry for human reason there are three consequences: few men would possess knowledge of god. Some don"t have the physical disposition for this work. Others are cut off by necessities imposed upon them by daily living. Some are cut off my indolence: it would take a long time to discover the truths above, the investigation of human reason has falsity within it. This is due to the weakness of our judgement and imaging. It is impossible that the truth of faith should be opposed to those principles that the human reason knows naturally. 19th century danish philosopher/theologist: objectively uncertainty.
