(highest authority, less people) pope, cardinal, bishops, priest, laity (less authority, more people) this is clergy (king, grande, lords, local, common) this is noble. Martin challenged every structure in europe and got rid of the pope. The catholic fear that people will misinterpret some passages and beliefs. Calvin says that there will be a few people to be saved.
