Non-law enforcement use: parking management (such as at the university, access to gated community or parking garage, finding people who have defaulted on car payments. This drove the development of this technology: car rental companies. Such as a vehicle crossing the border that wasn"t supposed to. Government: the government has more regulation in the use of alpr technology. Private use is virtually unregulated (in collection and use)
