Not great indicator because all societies have some examples of this. Later on, you get goods made out of scarce materials, like copper: switch from bone. Lot of artifacts found in chiefly house and normal people houses: knives, pots, etc. Chiefly houses may have nice furniture, administrative devices, ornaments made of rarer raw materials, etc. None of these good enough on their own. On open agricultural plain, as opposed to euphrates river. On marshy land filled in lake that became that way. Two different mounds: only one neolithic. Very deep mound: overlaps with the ppn, 14 layers, most data we have comes from the top most layers.
