Pattern of not formally ruling territories: anti-japanese sentiment, the xian incident (1936) Dec. 12, 1936 ____ (song qingling or zhang xueling) troops storms the compound where. Chiang kaishek is staying, kills several bodyguards, captures chiang after he flees. Several weeks of negotiations madam kai-shek shows up.
