Before 1930- what may be counted as aggravated assault in one jurisdiction may not be recognized as aa in another jurisdiction. Violent: murder, rape, robbery, and aggravated assault. In 2013, the ucr program changed the definition of rape. 1930-2013: carnal knowledge of a female forcibly and against her will. A definition excludes some things from being counted.
