Karma: controls the cycle of rebirths and deaths. The two greatest events in the legend of the buddha is his departure from his family and his enlightenment (bodhi) 6 years later. Soothsayers: a person who is supposed to be able to see the future. Animals: god created animals therefore they are sacred and deserve respect as being part of gods creation. Also needed for survival and to sacrifice what animals they had was a sign of dedication.
