This is because it took time for the signal to travel to our watch. The further away the satellite is from you, the longer it takes to get to you. Satellite b says it is 12:30 pm and satellite c says it is 12:29 pm, these satellites have bigger discrepancies because they are farther away from us. *alfred wegener: german meteorologist who said the continents move. Many people opposed this hypothesis because it hadn"t been tested. *harry hess: navy admiral in wwii, who helped to move along wegener"s hypothesis. He proposed that the seafloor spreads through sonar. *frederick vine & drummond matthews: proved that the continents move through magnetism. They developed and used a magnetometer to prove this (developed during wwii)
