Midterm information: in class (normal room & time, 50 questions, multiple choice, 25 are free exam questions . *geobiology - the study of earth and life. *fossils - tangible (can touch it) remains or signs of ancient life. - 7 types of fossils -- since it was alive: unaltered organic material - same substance/skin that was present when it was alive, ex. What is life: self replication (we can reproduce, self regulation (ability to control and regulate our environment - homeostasis) a. b. *prokaryote cell - cells that are in bacteria - earliest form of life that we know about. *eukaryotic cell - what we are made out of. Each cell contains an organ that perform different functions. Strong enough that you can sit on it. It has to have a seat part and a back part.
