Opposed to suitors who are actually evil. Also eurycleia, who washes his feet/offers him a bath. Odysseus threatened by the loss of his nostos or his return home. Often, he"s tempted to surrender his nostos, forget his old self, start a new life, or die. Episode with the lotus-eaters, nausicaa, after he leaves calypso and nearly dies. He responds with terror to being absolutely alone after escaping from the island.
