According to soviet view, meaning comes from materialism and creations made by the people. Creation of a new world was a common metaphor for the socialist soviet experiment. A new world is where previous struggles and injustice wouldn"t exist. People can engage in a collectivistic project to create a better world. If a society comes together for something that benefits them all, the world becomes better. Collectivization - reform of agriculture; making society one big collective with all individuals engaged in one big meaningful project. Purshevsky the engineer thought up proletariat house project lonely guy -- wishes for human contact. Originally a bourgeois specialist-- lends his ability to the new socialist projects. Very knowledgeable on how to construct with material items confronts same problem that voschev confronts -- engaging mind or reducing something to material.
