We conceptualize based on how we see others conceptualize it (the media) Says that there is hardly any place for patients to experience suffering, and that complaints are often regarded as subjective self-reports that are essentially biased. Physicians are trained to look for keywords that resemble symptoms, which is why we need to see how doctors conceptualize disease. Something is inherently lost: especially when comparing biomedicine and chronic illness. Issue as chronic issues, by definition, are not curable. Example of a disease where you are still healthy: diabetes, hearing impairment / bad eyesight. Can be translated into medical knowledge with a focus on symptoms.
