Ruling essentially that there is no scientific proof that any of the unique properties of the natural bamboo survive the chemically intensive manufacturing process (wet spinning). Also there is no evidence (contrary to what the text book suggests) that an ecofriendly solvent spinning method is used. Wet spun 1910/11 -regular rayon often called viscose. 1955 hwm (high wet modulus) developed -still a viscose method, better in many ways hp, polynosic, model . Less aging, less strong chemcials, can be drawn. Still has loss of strength when wet (shared common property) More washable, less wrinkles, can be finished for less wrinkles. Lyocell -1996 - most cotton like of all manufactured fibers more sustainable.
