Polyester vs. dacron: generic name: comes from chemistry (i. e. , facial tissue, spandex, trade name comes from company (i. e. , kleenex, lyrca) Fiber spinning steps: (1) prepare dope (raw material dissolved or melted) Viscosity mean thicker (2) extrude through spinneret (3) solidify (coagulation, evaporation, cooling)
