Document Summary
Religion is a set of practices, beliefs, and traditions, usually agreed upon by a group of people, that is focused on the worship of a higher power, whether that be a god, nature, or other transcendental existences. Religion is having faith and using that faith in one"s practices of worship. Religion originates from groups of ancient people worshipping spirits and gods. Religion is usually an organized set of beliefs and practices that a group of people stick to. There is a sense of community in most religions, and people within a religion tend to congregate together to address life"s big questions through prayer, traditions, etc. Religion is a tool that people use that provides a framework on how someone should live their life, what they should believe in, and what types of morals they should have.
