He also alludes to the point that by being wasteful we are in a way sinning because our actions affect those less fortunate than ourselves who we should instead be trying to help because everyone is created equal. Wastefulness" become justified when it may be in an effort to help those less fortunate? (i. e power plants to produce electricity in places that don"t have any) Francis that the earth is a vital resource that must be protected and preserved. Dominion over the earth till and keep (gen 2:15). Sabbath extended to all creation that you ox and your donkey may have rest (ex. Sabbatical year for land (lev 25:1-4) once every 7 years to allow the earth to rest so you only take what you need and nothing excess.
