Fencing: justifiable only where extent of damage exceeds the cost of implementation. Local ordinances may prevent use of some fencing (ex. Aesthetically unpleasing to some members of the community. Gets more expensive if the enclosure is permeant. Common livestock fencing systems ineffective on deer in most cases. Non-electric options: extruded black polyethylene deer fencing. Not easy to see from further away. However it will break down quicker than others. Deer-proof 3 panels of woven wire (razor wire topper not recommended) This is what is takes to prevent deer from getting in.
