Central idea: to inform people about the consequences of drinking and driving by informing them with the effects of alcohol, penalties, and ways to prevent any issues. With the holidays just around the corner, social drinking occurs much more frequently. But consuming alcohol irresponsibly comes with its costs. According to madd. org, in 2013 10,076 people died in drunk driving incidents and 290,00 were injured. The rate of drunk driving is highest among 21 to 25 year olds, which is soon to be if not already many of us. I feel that driving under the influence is not something many take seriously because espe(cid:272)ially people our age feel (cid:449)e"re invincible. We tend to think that something so tragi(cid:272) like this does(cid:374)"t happe(cid:374) to us. U(cid:374)fortu(cid:374)ately, it does a(cid:374)d it is a reality (cid:449)e need to be made aware of in order to prevent from further incidents. 1. 5 ounces of 80-proof spirits (whiskey, rum, vodka) all contain same amount of alcohol.
