Clothes that the performers in the video are wearing are meant to represent nudity/being naked. Gender of the two performers: one male and one female. The aggressor is the women (she is attacking him: actions of play or desire. Speculation shows that the girl is represented as an animal and the male is trying to tame her. This video relates to kimmel"s essay because the man is in a cage, but can clearly get out. Group consensus answered: yes, she dominates him physically. This video relates specifically to all three essays recently assigned; kimmel, Martin and lorber. (direct connections will be discussed in next class) What does lorber mean when she says sex, like gender, is a social construct: we as a society, impose extra meanings onto biological sex and these extra meanings are based on our assumptions about gender.
