Inclusive fitness- reproductive success for oneself and ones close kin. Organisms are altruistic with kin= kin selection. Ex: chimps and gorillas will take in orphans, but orphans related to them. Why sound alarm when it will make you noticed by predator==to warn relatives. Polymorphism- a genetic trait where there are at least 2 alleles, each with frequencies greater than 1% Types of red blood cell polymorphisms: blood type, blood proteins and enzymes, hla systems: the human immune system. Organs, cells and molecules working together to protect your body form pathogens and cellular alterations (tumors, etc. ) Cancer- accumulation of cells rather than outside invader. Allows body to realize cells are not own.
