Things like face shape much more heritable because of conditions that can affect things like soft tissue and middle mass. But weight is desirable in other countries. Makes sense since fat and matt are influenced by diet, exercise, and environment. There are genes that predispose people toward obesity. People who have genes for obesity have much more obesity: human growth. Cross sectional growthy study average. " but average are not always good. Longitudinal growth study- compare same individuals at different points in life: growth curves- Doesn"t take into account that we don"t grow at a constant rate: velocity curve change in height.
