Document Summary

Difference between natural selection and short term adaption. Someone who lives at high attitude monetary for a long time will have short term adaption of altitude. Don"t need safety stops in things like scuba diving. Using air already in your lungs not air from a tank. No risk of extra oxygen at blood. People with hace feel drunk, cant control movement, can"t think clearly, get confused, have delusions, etc: chest measurements at high altitude. Larger chest dimensions in children, even those who move to high altitude. Physiological response instead of natural selection in this case: body size at high altitude. May be due to the metabolic expense of combating hypoxia, cold slowing down growth. Body systems need more energy at high altitude. Could be argued against because children growing in denver have shorter stature as well (and they are not lacking food ) Two things probably working together to produce stature, body size: childbirth and racism.
