Women in every state experienced the pay gap with variations among states. The pay gap is worse for women and color. Women face a gap in nearly every occupation. Women typically paid less than men in male dominated occupations. Female dominated occupations often pay less than male- dominated occupations . Excuses are made to pay males more. Women are often paid less in gender neutral occupations as well. Pay gap grows with age bullet against the gender pay gap. Some say because it is because of children and child birth. But the pay gap exists among women without children. Even in professions like teaching, men earn more.
