Social classes were not equal (rich kings vs. poor slaves) From records it could be known that dancing was common in everyday life. Dance was important in all social classes. Laborers danced to rhythmic drums to mimic the monotonous work. Women both slave and upper class took part in harrum and were trained in dance. Celebrated when the nile rises in the spring. Also known as the night of the tear drop. Celebrated in the fall when the nile is low and the harvest is in. Their jealous brother kills osiris and isis bring him back to life by praying to. Isis and osiris are brother and sister as well as husband and wife the sun god from this stems the belief in immortality. Less like dance and more like a church choir with acrobatics. They danced for the suns rotation moving from east to west. Often times musicians are depicted alongside a dancer in documentation.
