F = filial: pertaining to a son or daughter (the progeny) 3:1 ratio in the f2 generation of yellow: green and round:wrinkled. All f2 wrinkled seeds when self-crossed -> all wrinkled progeny. F2 round seeds when self-crossed -> of f2 produced all round and. Each trait is controlled by particulate factors that occur in pairs.
