End of each chapter textbook has a checklist. Format: multiple choice (like 8 out of the 10) and section of short answer (like 5 out of 7) G1: rewarded every time they successfully navigated maze. G3: reward 10 days into the study and on. G1 learned much faster than g2: proves behaviorism. G2 improved much faster after day 10 than g1: proved latent learning. Behaviorists would expect that after 10 days, g3 would have the same slow as g1 but it was much faster because they had been learning the whole time. Tollman believed that if behaviorism is right, they will learn to go up left up right. Believed in the sunburst maze they would go up first. Not what they did (only amount consistent with chance. Majority went down the part of the maze directly towards the end. Learned that the reward was in the direction. Intended to provide simplified model of natural language processing.
