Work Importance Locator
My two highest scores were twenty-seven and twenty-six. My work value sheet said I
value achievement and recognition over the other options. I agree with those choices because I
want to receive recognition for the work I do. I want to make use of my abilities that I learned in
college and training. Also, I can be busy all the time. I want work where I would feel
accomplished. Help and give instruction to others to co-workers.
In achievement, the jobs I had found were private investigator (41-9012.00), sheriff and
deputy sheriff (33-3051.03, Zone 2), fashion designer (27-1022.00, Zone 3), criminal
investigator and special agents (33-3021.03, Job 4), forensic science technician (19-4092.00,
Zone 4), and substance and drug abuse counselor (21-1011.00, Zone 4).
In recognition, it was very hard for me to find any jobs that sparked my interest. I found
only models (41-9012.00, Zone 1), manager of police and detectives (33-1021.00, Zone 3), and
police fire and dispatch (43-5031.00, Zone 2). The other choices did not suit me well or I could
see myself doing.
The top five jobs I have chosen is model, private detective and investigator, forensic
science technician, substance and abuse consular, and manager of police and detectives. The
salaries I looked up are what I would make back home in New York. Models make $32,330
annually. Private detective and investigators make an annual salary of $59,190. Criminal
investigators make $82,560 a year. Forensic science technicians make around $66,790.
Substance and drug counselors make about $53,000 yearly. Last but not least, manger of
police and detectives make $103,210 annually.
