Assumption that attractive or charismatic people also possess more desirable social characteristics that reality: predicting love. Interpersonal attraction as a process is distinct from perceptions of physical attractiveness. Involves view of what is and is not considered beautiful or attractive. Study or interpersonal attraction is a major areas of research in social psychology and psych in general: largest predictors of who will be in a relationship are. Unlike hollywoods depiction of romance, opposites do not necessarily attract proximity plays a large role: sexual communication. In new relationships we communicate indirectly and nonverbally about sex. Often leads to misinterpretation: as a relationships develops and deepens good communication is key. Feedback: the ways in which conflict is dealt with reflects and contributes to relationship happiness, technology and social media-can be positive and negative, positive. Allow to connect with others that may not normally speak to. Allows couples to stay in contact more frequently.
