Apple sources their products from elysis which is a canadian company that has created carbon free aluminum. They then get their aluminum shipped to their pittsburg facility. Huawei technologies has sourced their products from alcoa which is the main aluminum provider in china. In order to determine how much the company needs from their source they must first determine how much they will be needing for each product they are creating as well as how many products are being made. After determining how much product they will need they must create a demand forecast with regular intervals of when they want this product to be delivered and to where. On the shared forecast the company needs to be specific if there are any unique requirements that must be met. After forecasting is done a purchasing agreement must be established.
